The talented Mr Ripley

When you think of The Talented Mr Ripley most think of the movie starring Matt Damon and Jude Law.
I remember seeing it, but not with my full attention. I knew it revolved around a crime, but that was about it.

Well, I think I didn't remember much because I actually didn't like the novel either.
I don't know, but the character of Tim Ripley felt annoying to me. Too self-aborbing for my taste.
The novel felt too much of a coincidence.

Maybe I judged by today's standards of catching a killer, but it felt like the novel went from fluke to fluke where Tom managed to stay suspicion free. Not too realistic.

There are better books out there, where a sociopath is turning into a killer.
